We hear it all the time, out of the box and creative idea, person, business, book, story, etc… It has become a trend. I’ve seen people complimenting by saying “you’re an out-of-the-box person”. I’ve even seen CVs claiming to be out of the box and creative person. Here’s what you don’t, yet, you must know in 2017.
There aren’t such things as creating and being out of the box, that’s just our little noisy egos speaking. I’ll explain it all in details.
First we shall discuss being out of the box, and then we’ll move to being creative and creating.
Being Out-Of-The-Box?
Everyone is always out of the box and always in a box. I know contradictory sentences sound cool, but this is not the case. Let me show why and how. No matter how you think, you’re always in a box. It could be a bigger one, one that includes the previous one in it, but still, it’s a box.
What Is Limitless?
Our imagination, until this point, doesn’t allow us to comprehend the unlimited –if there’s such a thing of course– as a whole, we can only imagine and understand the unlimited in very limited terms. For example, when we say straight line that goes to infinity, we understand it by the sentence, which is limited; we comprehend this infinity by the word but not as something that has no end. How long is it? It’s to infinity, has no beginning and has no end… The words do explain it, but our imagination cannot.
How To Get Out Of The Boxes?
Anyways, let’s stay on the subject. Here’s how the boxes are. There are unlimited number of boxes, and with each revelation we get out of the current box and get into another, then after sometime, we master the elements in that particular box, and one day at one moment it happens again and your mind’s horizon expands to the point where you can clearly see the box that you’re currently in and you see yourself leaving it, yet you’re just in another one, the cycle goes on and on, that’s why it’s “limitless”. Could be just like a one-dimensional creature walking on a sphere, it feels the road is never-ending and even turns back to the point from where it started walking but cannot comprehend nor notice it.
It is true that there are some boxes in which are very few people. Boxes that are hard to reach. Boxes that contain hundreds of thousands of other boxes. But yet the infinite loop never ends, which is the journey of our lives, just like the journey of conciseness, it never ends, it’s an infinite loop. Not having any limits: It is a box; you can never be out of the box completely.
Isn’t having no limits, limited? Not having any limits is limited to not having any limits, which means being limited isn’t there, which makes it limited. Let me simplify it.
At first, it looks like being unlimited is not in any box, but, you HAVE NO limits, you cannot do something that is limited, you cannot be limited, you have no limits. This is a hidden limit, one that gives the illusion of being out of the box.
Let’s take sages for example. They’re in the box of not satisfying their ego, that’s their limits.
So how can one be out of the box? The question isn’t whether there’s an end to the boxes or a way to be out of all the boxes and not be in any. The question is whether there’s a point in changing the boxes and expanding our mind’s horizon or no?
Now of course I won’t talk about it, for I’ve already said my goal isn’t to teach, show or preach anything to anyone. So each of us must find the road and the answers to, and for themselves.
Unleash Your Creativity
As for creating and creativity, there’s no such thing. One can only mix things up and come up with something new. Nothing was ever created, created as it is. It’s just as creating a new color, all the colors are already there, and the best one can do is come up with a color that has never been used before, by mixing new (different) ingredients, but not create one.
Electricity wasn’t created, it was found. Everything was on earth long before mankind was developed. All we did was to figure out that if we do certain things with what we already have we will have electricity. The same way Wi-Fi wasn’t created it was found and used in our favor.
What inventors do is connect the dots. It’s not like the reason for not having Facebook 300 years ago is because Mark Zuckerberg was still not born… Of course not. It’s because the ingredients used for making Facebook wasn’t there, all Mark did was connect the dots. I’m not putting them down, I’m just saying don’t think you ain’t creative, no one is…
How Was It All Created?
Scientists say that all the energy that has been used and is used and will be used was created at the moment of the Big Bang, while other religions believe there’s a creator who has created everything. We cannot be sure of the truth, at least not now, but we can be sure that no man has ever created anything.
Here, we can argue that connecting the dots is itself creating, which would be true if the majority didn’t misuse the word and explained in details…
If education isn’t delivered equally, and the people receive individual approaches to learn, then we can all produce the same results. However, it is not practical at this moment of time in our evolution, yet the hope dies the last.
