6 Tips on How to Avoid the Bad and Get Only the Good Out Of Life

From the second that we are born, everything that we are taught is based on what’s good and bad, we learn that the good is good and the bad is bad. Everything that we do is based on this simple rule, do what’s good and stay away from what’s bad. Of course if you’re at least 10% UNFUCKWITHABLE you already know that good and bad are relative concepts, it’s based on our experience and how we react to what happens around and to us. However, this blog isn’t about their relativity, we’ll try avoiding the relativity and going deeper into the concepts. And as promised you shall learn how to avoid the bad and get only the good out of life.

If you’re 20% UNFUCKWITHABLE then you know that all our individual rules and principals are based on two emotions, pleasure and pain. We avoid pain and seek pleasure. Again, one thing can cause someone pleasure but to another, pain. So what’s good and bad? Not as the things that are good or bad. No, but as what are they? What is the good and what is the bad? What’s their nature? What’s their relation to each other?

What’s the Good and What’s the Bad?

Good and bad exist only in relation to each other, if there’s good then there’s bad. If there isn’t good then there isn’t bad. As far as we can see they both advance in the same way and globally one cannot be more than the other. This can be proved by many facts such as birth (good) and death (bad). The reason there’s birth is because there’s death. Had there not been death, there would be no point in birth. And everyone who is born will one day die.

Good and bad can be related to many things, like pleasure and pain, happiness and sadness, light and dark, winning and losing, negative and positive. There’s negative because there’s positive, they are attracted to each other and one can only be there thanks to the other. The only case where there isn’t negative or positive is when there isn’t anything (0), which by the way is one of the hardest comprehensible ideas. The same goes for winning and losing, just don’t play.

Why Can’t We Solve All the Problems?

In our attempt to solve problems we create new problems which weren’t there in the first place… e.g. we reduced the infant mortality rate, more children are born healthy yet the food, resources and the necessities of life are decreasing… What’s the point of preaching about the importance of family when we’re increasing the production of condoms, and so on… The only way not to create a problem is not to see any, not to think about any and not to solve any…

Long before civilization was the way it is today, men were free; they didn’t concern themselves with freedom, or time management, or sexual freedom and on… It is the advancement of our civilization that created these “problems” which weren’t there to begin with. Men a few thousand years ago were concerned about food and shelter, now, considering that we solved those issues; we created the freedom issue and more.

However, it is important to understand that this is what makes life. This is the journey, we solve some problems, create worse problems, then we solve them too, and create new ones. That’s what life is all about, it’s the infinite cycle of our journey.

How to Find Happiness?

The mistake –what causes suffering– that most people make is trying to get what brings them pleasure and escape pain. Hey, they are equal and where pleasure is there is the pain. If one gets happy from pleasure, one will suffer from pain.

If birth brings pleasure then death shall bring pain. The only way to escape pain is to escape pleasure. There’s a better way to avoid it which is to dance with them both but never marry any. As the saying goes, meet with triumph and disaster and treat those two impostors just the same.

In the same way you can’t make everyone love you. So what’s the good and what’s the bad? They’re both the result of each other. The only reason there’s shadow is because there’s light. And in reality they’re both the same in regards of goodness and badness, none of them is good or bad. They’re just them, they’re inseparable. To seek only the good in life, is to seek only half of the life, to want only happiness is to want only the half of life, and to enjoy only light, is to enjoy only the half. Nature teaches us everything that we need to know to live, I mean we’re nature itself. Our act of trying to defy nature (ourselves) is what causes suffering.
